Update: Gov. Mario Cuomo on the American Dream in the Big Apple!
Gov. Cuomo will offer the opening remarks at "The American Dream in the Big Apple: Is NYC Still a Middle-Class Town?"
This is great news for those who missed the Governor teach Newt Gingrich a thing or two at Cooper Union week before last.
The conference is April 2 and co-sponsored by the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College and the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy.
Speaker line-up is shaping up quite nicely: Gov. Cuomo, Comptroller Thompson, Rep. Weiner, NYC Finance Commissioner Martha Stark, City Councilman John Liu, UFT President Randi Weingarten, Freelancers Union founder Sara Horowitz, and more.
More details here.
If you haven't RSVPd yet, please do by emailing dmi@drummajorinstitute.org. Space is limited.
See you on April 2.

How in the world could Mario Cuomo and Rudy Guliani appear on an anti Italian history chanel show about the mafia. Did they think this furthered their political career? What moron advisor okayed that. Didn't they know the long standing anti Italian prejudice this chanel has? They focused only on Sicily and New York, where most of these gangsters are from Italian descent. There was no mention of the organized crime in Florida, Texas, Lousiana, Mississippi and California. There was just a quick mention of Bugsy Seigal, no memtion of Meyer Lansky, who had the largest organized empire in the world. No mention of all those good ole boy organization. Tell Rudy he has no shot of becoming president.
